Quilt ADD in therapy

Other than my family, the passion of my life is quilting. An eclectic, I love a wide variety of styles and techniques encompassing both machine and hand work. I am a longarm quilter who can work for you. I enjoy any style, from pantographs to all-over to full custom, ranging from traditional to modern. I love bringing vintage tops to life and am willing to work with a challenging quilt top. Instagram: lyncc_quilts

BOMs Away - ~*~ Flimsy Alert! ~*~ Water Reflections, and some Harmony

Welcome to the Link-up for BOMs Away Mondays!

Where we share what we're doing on a BOM type project
so they don't stall out in UFO-land!
(Linky at the bottom)

Whoop!!  It's been a marathon BOM weekend!

First, I completely finished the Water Reflections top:

I really like the Impressionist feel it has in real life.

And then I got my new BOM, Harmony, *completely* cut out,

except for the exact length of the outer borders! Well, and the applique pieces, but I do back-basting, so I don't cut them out ahead of working them.

This baby is organized into baggies for each of the 9 months of work, ready to go for easy sewing when its turn comes up on the weekends.

I'm feeling well accomplished at the moment.  :)

~*~*~*~

Have you been able to do any BOM type work lately? We'd love to see it.  :)

Kate over at Katie Mae Quilts has joined me in hosting this meet-up,
and linking up from either end puts you on the party at both sides.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  5. Water reflections is very lovely. I like the way the thin border floats in the water colors.

  6. Water Reflections is really pretty. I admire you for your continued diligence to keep working on your BOMs and kits. That closet ought to be nearly empty by now, right? Are you giving away your quilt finishes? Or are you using them?

  7. Your Reflections star quilt came out gorgeous, Lynette! I love all of those different sized stars "twinkling" their reflections on the surface of the water. And I'm inspired by how you've cut and kitted up your new project, too. It's amazing how much more organized we can be when we can FIND the pieces that need to be sewn together... ;-). Happy New Year!

  8. Ooh, I too love the Water Reflections quilt! Agree on the impressionist feel and the colors and setting really play off each other. Organizing your new project in advance is the way to go -- makes it very "grab and go"!

  9. That Water Reflections quilt is stunning! I'm working on my Sunshine Cove BOM, BUT I also have the Harmony BOM to work on this year! I just love it!! Looking forward to seeing your progress. This is mine: I have gathered all the blocks and have looked at the pattern! LOL
