Other than my family, the passion of my life is quilting. An eclectic, I love a wide variety of styles and techniques encompassing both machine and hand work. I am a longarm quilter who can work for you. I enjoy any style, from pantographs to all-over to full custom, ranging from traditional to modern. I love bringing vintage tops to life and am willing to work with a challenging quilt top. Instagram: lyncc_quilts

BOMs Away Monday 16 - First Moments of an Empty Nest

Welcome to my Link-Up for BOMs Away Mondays!
(We'd love to see the BOM you're working on lately.)

Just now got home from the third and final road trip to tuck all our chicklets away at their far-spread school locations. The first moments of an empty nest are not welcome ones!  :P

I have to say, I had the best time at Batiks Plus while we were in St. Louis. Cookie was so very, very gracious to Heather and Scott and I, and it was delectable fun to comb through hundreds of headers to put a palette together for a quilt!! Not to neglect mentioning the incredible mini show of gorgeous, gorgeous art quilts.  They're so much more fabulous in real life than the catalogs and monitor can display!  Can't wait for the latest kit about to come out, and Cookie will have one sold here for sure!  ;D

The only sewing I got done this week was BOM-related. Three more Baby Janes:

A-1, A-3, B-1
Oh, look! I need to fix a spot on A-1. . .   No surprise at my being distracted lately.

What interval project have you got going? Weeklies are welcome along with regular projects that you’ve broken into monthly units, and –of course- true BOMs.   Share your eye candy and show off your progress since the last time you linked up! There are some wonderful monthly and weekly projects going on out there. You guys amaze me. :D

  1. Babara 's work is marvelous with the one colours star and flowers. You used only one color 's brightness and contrast color, I really impressed with your creation.

  2. Tried to leave a comment earlier, but I couldn't for some reason. Love your blocks. Isn't it funny how you don't see the little boo boos until you post them? I do that too.

  3. Love your Baby Jane blocks! At least you discovered the mistake in the first block now instead of after it was in the middle of the quilt (which is what would have happened to me )

  6. Those are cute "babies"! At least with being an empty nester, you should have LOTS of time to sew and quilt, right? ;)

Thank you for stopping by! I answer each comment via email. Sometimes, though, the system fails to notify me that a comment has been left, and if you are a "No-Reply" commentor, I cannot respond. Also, I apologize for having to block anonymous users - too much uncivil spam was coming through to leave the comments completely open.
