Other than my family, the passion of my life is quilting. An eclectic, I love a wide variety of styles and techniques encompassing both machine and hand work. I am a longarm quilter who can work for you. I enjoy any style, from pantographs to all-over to full custom, ranging from traditional to modern. I love bringing vintage tops to life and am willing to work with a challenging quilt top. Instagram: lyncc_quilts

(WIP Wed) Swan Island <~ that happened.

Wow! It's been a long time since I've done a WIP Wed post. I surprised myself yesterday, though.

It was my birthday. I was house-bound ALL day long, because from 7-5 the driveway and all walkways, stoop, and patio were being worked on, and then from 5-11 because the sealer couldn't be driven over, and I foolishly thought I wouldn't need my car out. . .

And then I was looking up some quilting ideas in Instagram, and: BAM!!  Elizabeth Hartman's "Swan Island" pattern smacked me in the eye!

There couldn't be a more perfect lap quilt for my bedroom suite with the swan theme in my remodeled bathroom. I mean, seriously!

So I went shopping online and put together the fabric pull I want to use for mine.

Pretty, isn't it?

I'll put this in my BOM rotation for two reasons. My piecing and quilting time is already occupied for a good two or three months, leaving Saturdays for whatever-I-want sewing. Also, two of the accent fabrics I want are not available until Nov/Dec.
