Welcome to the link-up for BOMs Away Mondays!
Where we share what we're doing on a BOM-type project
so they don't stall out in UFO-land!
(Linky at the bottom.)
Our weekend was pretty much completely sucked up with a DIY project in the house - removed a built-in desk and cupboard that are never used and only become a mess magnet. Which left a few wall-repair issues and some electrical shifting around.
I did get to work a smidge on my Mouse King just now. I really love the back-basting method, and you can see it in action here. I like to load up several pieces at a time so the fibers relax around the upholstery thread bastings, and then they just lay right down along the needle-turn lines. :)
This guy is going to be really cute.
Have you done any BOM work lately?

Kate over at Katie Mae Quilts has joined me in hosting this meet-up,
and linking up from either end puts you on the party at both sides.
Mouse King will be so darn cute! That project will be wonderful as are all of your projects. I have done the back basting method before. It has great results.
ReplyDeleteSorry you had to do non quilty non fun stuff with your desk but it is done now.
Well done on dealing with that messy magnet. :) My weekend was DIY too - but now I have better lighting in my sewing space, so also totally worth it!
