Other than my family, the passion of my life is quilting. An eclectic, I love a wide variety of styles and techniques encompassing both machine and hand work. I am a longarm quilter who can work for you. I enjoy any style, from pantographs to all-over to full custom, ranging from traditional to modern. I love bringing vintage tops to life and am willing to work with a challenging quilt top. Instagram: lyncc_quilts

BOMs Away Monday - 23 April 2012

Welcome to my Link-Up for BOMs Away Mondays!
(We'd love to see the BOM you're working on lately.)

I finally have some quilt work progress! (only because they wanted me to explain Back-Basting Applique at my last guild meeting, but hey!)

Prepped the first three blocks for my "Affairs of the Heart."

This is a quilt by Aie Rossman. Quite stunning. You can do it as a BOM with various shops, or get the book and do it on your own.

Had to get creative on how to trace the designs onto the back of pure BLACK fabric:

Basted on the first round of pieces:

And stitched a wee bit of a piece on each block so that folks could pass them around and see what the technique looks like in-progress:

And that's all there is this week!

What have you guys done on BOMs or interval projects lately? Weeklies are welcome along with regular projects that you’ve broken into monthly units, and –of course- true BOMs.   Share your eye candy and show off your progress since the last time you linked up! There are some wonderful monthly and weekly projects going on out there. :D

  1. That's one amazing quilt, can't wait to see how you get on with it. Thought you were taking things easy for a bit, doesn't look like it from here!

  2. Your quilt is going to be amazing!! I look forward to watching your progress.

  3. Wow!...lovely quilt and love the colors you picked.

  4. That is so cool! I don't think I've ever seen that type of applique before.
