Other than my family, the passion of my life is quilting. An eclectic, I love a wide variety of styles and techniques encompassing both machine and hand work. I am a longarm quilter who can work for you. I enjoy any style, from pantographs to all-over to full custom, ranging from traditional to modern. I love bringing vintage tops to life and am willing to work with a challenging quilt top. Instagram: lyncc_quilts

BOMs Away - Nutcracker & Listen

Welcome to the link-up for BOMs Away Mondays!
Where we share what we're doing on a BOM-type project
so they don't stall out in UFO-land!
(Linky at the bottom.)

Today I got to do some real quilt work again for the first time in a month! I finally got my "Listen with Your Eyes" center set into its background.

And Navarre loves it.

He even matched the curve!  :D

I also -finally- stitched on the last piece for the Nutcracker Chimney Sweep. This is block 6, so these guys are really coming along.

This one has two pieces that overlap the seam, so those obviously have to wait until piecing to get finished up.

Have you been able to do any BOM work lately?

Kate over at Katie Mae Quilts has joined me in hosting this meet-up,
and linking up from either end puts you on the party at both sides.

  1. Every time I see your quilt, I'm tempted to try one of these patterns for myself. This is so beautiful!! Have you used your own fabrics or did you buy the fabrics with the pattern? Now, how are you going to quilt this?

  2. I love your colorful quilt! Very pretty. Cute nutcracker too!

  3. Navarre has good taste! That is stunning and I just love the chimney sweep.

  4. Lynette, you were a powerhouse last week! I can't believe you got Listen with your Eyes together. It looks so amazing. Your nutcracker quilt is going to be a stunner. There is so much tiny detail in it.

  5. Lovely, lovely work on your Listen With Your Eyes. Navarre looks beautiful on it too :-)

  6. I'm with Navarre! I would throw myself onto that quilt and roll around on it, too, hoping for the gorgeousness to rub off on me :)

  7. Oh my gosh! What a gloriously-colored quilt! Love the rainbow of colors against that dramatic black. Very impressive! I'm glad to see you're still chasing those BOMs. You're an energetic quilter, for sure!
