Welcome to the link-up for BOMs Away Mondays!
Where we share what we're doing on a BOM-type project
so they don't stall out in UFO-land!
(Linky at the bottom.)
Hello!
I felt like taking a break from longarming or trapunto edgestitching, so I whipped up these Month 3 blocks for my "Water Reflections" BOM:
Only 2 tasks remain for the quilting of Heather's Graduation Dahlia - finish the matchstick fill behind the scroll background fields, and do the CC cross-hatch fill on the Caduceus tips. It'll be off the longarm before week's end!! Woohoo :D
I'm glad we're having a mild-ish summer this year! If this week's 85-96 highs have been taxing me as much as they have (we don't have A/C in this house), I'm sure happy we haven't been topping 100! I need to get tape roll refills for my hair-removing roller for the next quilt that gets put on the frame. I'm on the last sheet right now. It's been too hot to wear my apron that I use to keep kitty hair from transferring off my shirt onto the quilt at the front roller bar. So right now, the fans blow at full speed, and I clear the hairs off every section before I quilt it. Love our kitties, and don't mind the hairs elsewhere - but not in the longarm room, and certainly not sewn into the quilting. :)

How is BOM type work going at your end?
Sure would love to see!
Kate over at Katie Mae Quilts has joined me in hosting this meet-up,
and linking up from either end puts you on the party at both sides.
I can understand why you needed a break from quilting! It is intense. The quilt alone is to die for, and then you quilt it like that? Wowzer! You are just so talented!
