Quilt ADD in therapy

My photo
Colorado, United States
Other than my family, the passion of my life is quilting. An eclectic, I love a wide variety of styles and techniques encompassing both machine and hand work. I am a longarm quilter who can work for you. I enjoy any style, from pantographs to all-over to full custom, ranging from traditional to modern. I love bringing vintage tops to life and am willing to work with a challenging quilt top. Instagram: lyncc_quilts

BOMs Away - Sage & Sea Glass and a nice walk

We had a pleasant Father's Day here - some steak on the grill, a visit from our youngest, a walk through the meadows with the grandpup on a day that couldn't be more gorgeous . . .  very nice.  :)

And for BOM work this weekend, I got the other 20 Sage & Sea Glass main blocks assembled:

I absolutely love these blocks, but they were very time intensive to sew together - so many match points on them! Looking forward to moving to Bag 4 next month!

How about your end? Have you done some BOM work lately?

~Flimsy Alert!~ "Stepping Stones"

Here she is, finally a finished top either 11 or 14 years after I started her!

And she's gorgeous:

"Stepping Stones" (86 x 97 inches),
a Judy Niemeyer paper piecing pattern, done in the queen size.

In one place I noted that I started this in 2010, but I'm pretty sure I went to the Judy Niemeyer "Stepping Stones" workshop before my cousin died in 2008.

Either way, this beautiful babe's mostly-done blocks sat in a plastic tote for Way. Too. Long.

BOMs Away - Temperature Quilt & Neptune's Gift

Had a pretty good catch-up day -

Got my big stack of Temperature dots assembled - finally have some orange on board!

And then I made and attached the Month 4 units of my Neptune's Gift BOM, the bottom portion of the first set of rays. That packet arrived the day before Marissa's wedding and sat untouched until now.

Navarre says: "'Bout time you finished some piecing work so I could lay on it!"

Funny boy.

BOMs Away - a wedding pic or two

So sorry I forgot to put BOMs Away up on Monday! Our youngest got married on Sunday, and folks have been in town from many states. Thank goodness for vaccinations all around so we could gather for a nice wedding at the regional park's wedding gazebo.  (I don't have any of the real photos yet.)

This photo actually has four of our family in it - our newlywed youngest with her middle sister & hubby - and my first grandchild onboard!

John & Marissa have a young Samoyed, Mango, who was part of the festivities. This was her only squirrely moment, so it went just fine having her at the reception.

It was mighty nice to see my sister. We haven't had a good moment to be together for a very long time.

As you can imagine, I've done no BOM work at all this past week.
