Quilt ADD in therapy

Other than my family, the passion of my life is quilting. An eclectic, I love a wide variety of styles and techniques encompassing both machine and hand work. I am a longarm quilter who can work for you. I enjoy any style, from pantographs to all-over to full custom, ranging from traditional to modern. I love bringing vintage tops to life and am willing to work with a challenging quilt top. Instagram: lyncc_quilts

BOMs Away - From the Heart & Beachwalk

Welcome to the link-up for BOMs Away Mondays!
Where we share what we're doing on a BOM-type project
so they don't stall out in UFO-land!
(Linky at the bottom.)

Plugging away this weekend at that old Beachwalk BOM quilt top - I got the sandcastle block all stitched down and trapunto'd. The crabs, with all their fussy legs, actually have a dual layer of trapunto since the first one is so smashed down - so you don't those guys from this side anymore.

And during this week's TV time, I finished one of the vine borders for my From the Heart BOM. The other 3 have all their greenery - just need hearts, after I get the binding on Heather's quilt stitched down.

How is BOM type work going at your place?
Sure would love to see!

Kate over at Katie Mae Quilts has joined me in hosting this meet-up,
and linking up from either end puts you on the party at both sides.

  1. From the Heart is very pretty! Hope you have plenty of time for binding this week. Happy stitching!

  2. You know, I've done a trapunto sample for a machine quilting class once, but never for a whole quilt. I am so curious to see how this will turn out. What kind of batting do you use for the trapunto objects, and what will you use for the batting that goes underneath the whole thing? When you puff up large areas with trapunto in a big quilt, does it make it harder to keep the whole thing straight and square throughout the quilting process?
