Welcome to the Link-Up for BOMs Away Mondays!
We'd love to see the BOM
you're working on lately.
This week's link-up is at the bottom of this post.
This week's link-up is at the bottom of this post.
Hopefully this was a better week for you than it was for me. My poor Koko's old body just couldn't do it anymore, so we lost him on Thursday. It probably sounds strange to say, but I bet a few of you understand when I say he was the very best friend I've ever had, outside of my husband. He also was one of those very rare cats that I could swear was a ministering angel in a pet's body. If you've ever had the profound privilege of knowing one of those animals, you know what a treasure these guys are. I can't adequately explain it, but if you've known one, you understand what I mean. It goes far beyond a normal sweet pet.
Rest in peace, Kao Ko Kung. And thank you for the honor of being a part of our family for the last 16 years.
The only BOM I felt remotely like working on was Holiday Tidings, even though I've already done it this month. Probably because the holidays mean the college girls will be home again soon, and that soothes my aching heart.
Months 4 and 5:
What BOM work have you
been able to get finished lately?

Any projects broken into
weekly or monthly units are welcome in addition to true BOMs. Share your eye
candy and show off your progress since the last time you linked up! There are
some wonderful monthly and weekly projects going on out
there.
Oh Lynn! I am so very sorry for your loss! I completely understand what you mean! But, also know, Kao was blessed to have you in his life as well. He couldn't have lived any better of a life, and that's all because of you and your family. Again, I am so sorry!
ReplyDeleteLynn... My heart is saddened... I do know exactly what you mean. Know that your sweet friend will watch over you until you meet again... Sending hugs. Karen
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Melanie
ReplyDeleteLynn, I'm so sorry, I wish I had words to help you through this but there aren't any. People talk about their "soul mates", but I think of we have soul animals and Koko was one.
ReplyDeleteLynn, I am so sorry to hear about your sweet boy. Our pets become family members and it is hard when they pass. Hugs and Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI completely understand. We lost Ms. Murphy a couple of months ago and still feel the pain. And several years ago we lost our own Koko, from the same series of books. Each one has her/his own personality and leaves a hole in the heart. Fortunately for us God has sent additional pets that have not replaced the lost ones but have eased the pain and eventually filled the hole leaving only a scar to remind us of the sweet one who is gone.
ReplyDeleteMy sympathies for your loss. It's always an honor to have friends be it the 2 or the 4 legged variety to love us totally as we are, Kkk will be missed and thought of with much love I'm sure. Piece or should I say peace be with you.
ReplyDeleteI am so so sorry about Koko! My heart goes out to you guys- losing my Angel dog was one of the hardest things I've ever dealt with so I can imagine how you must be feeling.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your loss, Lyn. Koko is surely still watching over you.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you have lost your faithful friend, Koko. Pets just worm their way into our hearts. My sister is losing one of her cats today as well. So sad.
ReplyDeleteThose beautiful pics of Koko made me teary Lyn , so sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry to hear about Koko. I know exactly what you mean about him - my Wedge was a ministering angel, too. :(
ReplyDeleteLove you kitty and your stitching.
ReplyDeleteOh, you poor dear. I'm terribly sorry for your loss. I'm not fond of cats, but being a dog owner, I believe I can understand how you're feeling. I'm sure that within a few years I'll be facing what you've just experienced. It's such a difficult thing to endure and accept. Please know how sorry I am for you and your family. Bless you. I hope you have a nice Thanksgiving with your girls.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of Koko's passing
ReplyDeleteAre you also a fan of "The Cat Who..." books?
Theyexplains exactly the personality of Koko
