BOMs Away - K Tiger Edition

Welcome to the link-up for BOMs Away Mondays!
Where we share what we're doing on a BOM-type project
so they don't stall out in UFO-land!
(Linky at the bottom.)

Running a little behind here - busy days right now as the South Korean Demo Team, K-Tigers, arrives tomorrow for the U.S. Open Hanmadang. Our homestay families will be hosting them for one week. Things are in place now, and all that is left for me is to make sure all catering happens for the team's lunches and answer/resolve family questions or issues as they come up during the week.

The K Tigers are great, and they're always a big hit at Hanmadang. They're all 2nd-4th degree blackbelts, and while they compete in pure Taekwondo, they also perform with music in a martial-arts dancing style - and small groups have done quite a few K-Pop videos, some of them very sophisticated. Here's one of their small-group videos so you can see what I mean. The international travel team has 31 members, and their top show is truly amazing, lasting something like an hour, with dance numbers interspersed by exhibition board breaking and kicking.

No BOM work has happened at all this past week, but I did finish the 5 team jackets for our Team Creative Poomsae.

Four of us, together with a friend, put together a demanding poomsae that we really enjoy, although a higher level of technical expertise than we Caulkinses possess would be ideal. The music is awesome, but frenetic, and my 50yo hamstrings don't like to allow full extension of side kicks and roundhouses on a lightning-fast beat!  Hah~!

We called our team Yong Do, which is supposed to mean "Way of the Dragon," and our music is "I'm a Dragon" by Apashe & Sway. Hopefully, we'll get someone to catch a video for us at Hanmadang on Friday.

Back to BOMs:

I may or may not have a nutcracker to share next week - he only needs one more piece stitched down, so hopefully I will.  ;D

How about you?
Have you done any BOM work lately?

Kate over at Katie Mae Quilts has joined me in hosting this meet-up,
and linking up from either end puts you on the party at both sides.

Thank you for stopping by! I answer each comment via email. Sometimes, though, the system fails to notify me that a comment has been left, and if you are a "No-Reply" commentor, I cannot respond. Also, I apologize for having to block anonymous users - too much uncivil spam was coming through to leave the comments completely open.
