BOMs Away Monday - She Liiiiiives! It's a Revival :D

Welcome to the Link-Up for BOMs Away Mondays!
We'd love to see the BOM you're working on lately.
This week's link-up is at the bottom of the post.

It's been forever since I've posted anything. I apologize to those who have told me they've missed the BOMs Away link up. I've been OK - just inundated with some intense priority quilts that took every minute of my quilting time. Everything else has been on hold for the last few months. I also had a lot of physical health adjustments to work on (just upgrading my workout routines to increase my stamina against Lupus stuff), and we had some really cool family events, like the high school graduation of our youngest and a really fantastic vacation.

I have a lot of catching up to do here at the blog! I'll start small with the first reposting of BOMs Away, which will start the swing back into my regular routine.

Working so hard on single intense quilts at a time really goes against my grain, and to reward myself for four solid months of that, I got myself the kit for Fancy Forest in the same fabrics Elizabeth Hartman used. It'll look like this:

I got everything washed and pressed, then I cut all the background and accent fabrics, and all the feature fabric strips.

This'll be my backing:

Everything is carefully organized in baggies and boxed up so that once a week or so I can take a break from the current priority quilt and put together an animal set. It's quite possible that this is the only project I'll work on for my BOM spot over the next 6-8 weeks. Apologies for the boredom if no other variety pops up before August. ;D

~*~*~*~
So, if anyone's still around, how about you? Do you have any BOM work to share?

  8. So good you are back. I was afraid it was a major health issue. I was praying for you. Sounds like you are terribly busy with fun and work and health too. That is a cute quilt you'll be working on. Lots of pieces.
