Other than my family, the passion of my life is quilting. An eclectic, I love a wide variety of styles and techniques encompassing both machine and hand work. I am a longarm quilter who can work for you. I enjoy any style, from pantographs to all-over to full custom, ranging from traditional to modern. I love bringing vintage tops to life and am willing to work with a challenging quilt top. Instagram: lyncc_quilts

BOMs Away - Harmony "Crescendo" blocks

Welcome to the Link-up for BOMs Away Mondays!

Where we share what we're doing on a BOM type project
so they don't stall out in UFO-land!
(Linky at the bottom)

Hi!  I finished all four "Crescendo" applique blocks for my Harmony BOM:

And more importantly, I got the taxes done!

Thank goodness for the extra month this year. I just didn't have the energy to work these up before I got the COVID vaccinations - On Saturday, 10 days after the second shot, I suddenly had so much more energy than before! I still need to test and see if I can do cardio workouts, but for the first time since getting Covid in October, I actually felt that impatience while sitting - that "I can't just sit here, I've got to get up and do something!" feeling!!!!

Until now, it's been an exercise in forcing myself to work through cement and molasses to do anything at all, a stretching out of how long I could last against the slog, but never a feeling of energy available and eager to go. I'm not quite 100% pre-Covid me, but at least 85% now, and the last three days I've only needed short sitting breaks after long physical work stretches. My house is getting reclaimed after seven months of serious neglect, and it    FEELS GOOD!

Sooooo grateful I decided to vaccinate! I did luck out and my body has learned something about fighting the long-Covid. Here's to hoping that the inability to fight it away has been my problem all along, and not actual permanent damage to my heart and vascular system!

  2. Excellent news about the vaccines helping with your long Covid! I hope it has that affect on all sufferers.
